The approxímate length will be 3,050 km. La Carrera Panamericana will be divided into seven legs over paved roads.

Each crew made up of two persons (driver and co-driver), must be registered for each competing car. All drivers, codrivers and the spare driver/codriver, must be holders of the sport license issued by FMAD (Federación Mexicana de Automovilismo Deportivo, A.C.) valid for the event.

It is mandatory that all competitors present their regular driving license of their country of origin, valid during the entire event.

Besides they must present their sport license valid for 2008, issued by a sporting authority of their country of origin.

Competitors below 18 years old must have their parents written consent for competing. They must comply with all competitor requirements, including their sport licenses and they can only compete as codrivers.

The entry forms are already available. To be accepted they must cover the following:

• Two photos of the competing car (postcard size), two photos of the driver and two photos of the codriver (small size).
• No cancellations, fee transfers or future applications for other years will be accepted, after July 31st, 2008. Any refund will be subject to the solely judgement of the Organising Committee.
• There will only be 30 applications given to Mexico, 40 to the United States and Canada and 40 to Europe and the rest of the world.
• The Organising Committee reservs its rights for admission.
